– Participants: NGOs and members of civil society, including but not limited
to civil society participants at the Civil Society Forum on Migration and
Development (held in Brussels on 9 July 2007.)
– Languages: We are making an effort to arrange simultaneous translation
from English-French-Spanish.
– Fee: 25 euros (please note that this fee helps
Migrant Rights International
to cover some costs of organizing the event.)
Programme (draft 15 June)
– The format of all plenary sessions and workshops will highly value strategic thinking, action-oriented participation and dialogue by NGOs and other civil society actors.
– Concrete recommendations will be actively sought and recorded throughout the forum, brought back to the plenary Wednesday morning, and used as a reference for media and political contacts throughout the two days and beyond.
– Specific next steps—in particular those that relate to action between now and the next Global Forum on Migration and Development, which will be held in the Philippines in 2008—will be recorded and shared by the organizers after the forum with the widest circle of NGOs and others in civil society concerned with migration and development.
